Sharon's May choice

Landscape, part of the fun for me with these challenges is to take the photo's to meet the challenge and not use photo's I have taken previously.  I took these when Phil and I went to Guildford last Monday.  I still have to find more of Sharons and Paddy's yet.

Phils May choices

Oh Phil, I had so much fun photographing my chair.  Its my favourite chair just as it is.  I lugged it outside, heavy as, brushed autumn leaves underneath to give the appearance of old decay, it was about 8 am and i moved it around to try different angles.  I was pretty happy with how they came out.  I like the one showing the winding path inviting you to sit down at the end of it. I liked it in b/w as well as colour as I love the faded rust colour.

remember this, I had a lot of fun trying to hold the camera behind me and get the image in, brings back happy memories

from lesson at Apple 100 iso f2.5  exposure -1 and shutter speed should be 1/500 which you get by adjusting the others and if you give a half press your camera should come up with settings for that particular photo.  All those settings gave me this photo which froze movement.

don't you just love it when they do this at the end of the game, probably thinking grrh rough players or something similar

Day 2 New Norcia

Day 2 in New Norcia we set of just after 9 am and drove over 2 hours, our destination being the pinnacles.  On the way we came across what looked like snow covered mountains, as we got closer they revealed as sand dunes with lovely fine white sand.  We had to trek through prickly scrub for 30 min or so before we got to the sand dunes, climbing to the top to get these photo's.  It was just on 1 pm with the sun directly overhead.  I had my camera on 100 ISO all day.  The sand was so pristine, no footprints although climbing up we saw kangaroo prints.

Steve our tutor and intrepid explorer showing us the way, the road is way over there....

nearly 5 pm when the shot above was taken, showed all the contours of the hole in this pinnacle .
looking into the sun at 5.30pm ISO 80 f7.1 so I did drop the iso down here, I think the sun coming through the cloud is nice.
